The School

Doon Valley High School is an English medium co-educational institution recognized by the Basic Shiksha Parishad, Government of U.P. for Junior High School classes For High School, the school is recognized by U.P. Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad, Prayagraj. The school has its own spacious, well ventilated building in Deepak Nagar locality of Indira Nagar Sec-9, Lucknow with all necessary modern amenities. The school is situated in environmentally clean surroundings, away from the din of vehicular traffic.

Excellence in Education

The school aims to bring out the hidden potential of each and every child it accepts for admission. To achieve this goal, the school works not only for the mental and physical development of the students, it also strives to enhance the abilities of perception, observation, logical thinking and decision making in them. Special attention is paid towards developing communication skills and instilling social and moral values amongst the students. The school teaches the principles of brotherhood, coexistence and harmony to its children. School motto is “Excellence in Education” and the school strives hard to maintain high standards of education it has set for itself.

Medium of Instruction

The school aims to prepare its students for future, hence it lays great emphasis on English Speaking and writing so that the students do not suffer from inferiority complex generally observed in Hindi speaking students when they go to job market. Hence English is the medium of instruction for all classes and all examinations except Hindi are written in English. In order to hone English Speaking skills, the students are required to speak in English inside school premises. Nevertheless, Hindi being our national language, the school lays equal emphasis on Hindi reading and writing. For easy understanding of subject matter, school has introduced the concept of Smart Classes. The school lays emphasis on understanding and logical thinking rather than cramming.
